House of Nanking, came recommended to us by a close friend in Oceanside, CA. Not having been to the restaurant before, we weren't sure what to expect, I must say, I am a believer that House of Nanking is the best chinese food I have eaten in San Francisco. As, first timers the host asked what we liked and proceeded to bring out plates of and beautifully presented of the tastiest dishes ever. I will reccomend this place to all my friends, and to other visitors that I meet in the city.- Is follow up to post by butch.everett ...
Beinbg on my first trip to San Francisco, we had no idea where to get some good Chinese food because they are everywhere. I asked our hotel concierge who recommended House of Nanking. We wanted something good but didn't know what. We told the chef/host/owner we didn't know what we wnated and he said he would handle it. He started bringing out food one plate at a time. I have no idea what is was but is was AWESOME!! Best chinses food I have EVER eaten!. I highly recommend it for anyone. Four of us and the bill was $53 with a hefty tip included!
